The Showmanship pattern is designed to show the partnership between horse and handler, and display the horse’s ability to be a good citizen. Showmanship will run on Saturday. Horses may be shown in a leather halter, or Western Halter. Chains may not be used. Handlers presenting horses in a leather halter must wear appropriate English attire, including a helmet, gloves, and tall boots. Handlers presenting a horse in a Western Halter must wear a Western hat and western boots.
Handlers may be asked to walk through or around cones, pick up feet, set their horse up for inspection, spray with water and/or lunge their horse. Handlers will be given a score of 0-10 per movement, and an overall impression score.
The division winner will be determined by the highest score.
